It was on Saturday that a 25-year-old man was shot to death with multiple shots at a restaurant in the area. He was taken to the hospital but died of his injuries, according to the police.
The 27-year-old man was initially requested to be detained on suspicion of murder, with aiding and abetting murder as an alternative charge. In the end, it was the latter crime classification that the district court chose to detain him on, according to prosecutor Wictor Beyer.
Should it be interpreted that you suspect that more people were involved in the shooting?
It's a reasonable conclusion to draw, but I don't want to comment too much about the circumstances, says Wictor Beyer to TT.
At present, the 27-year-old is the only person detained in the case, according to the prosecutor.
It's still early in the investigation and the police are looking at the motive and connections to criminal environments, says Wictor Beyer.
The man who was detained is reasonably suspected, which is the lower degree of suspicion. Several people are said to have been in the premises in connection with the murder.
