Norwegian police are laying down their firearms again. The extended arming that was introduced in October has been terminated.
"National arming" was introduced on October 8, after the security police PST raised the terror threat level in the country to "high".
On Thursday, PST lowered the warning level again, and on Friday, the police announced that this means the national arming will be terminated immediately.
Police in general do not carry firearms on a daily basis in Norway.
