It's sad that Norwegian ski jumping sport within a few days breaks down the trust that it was in the process of rebuilding, after several seasons where other things than performances in the ski jumping hill have stolen the attention, says Dag Are Børresen, communications chief at the law firm Help, to the newspaper VG.
The law firm's contract expires on May 1, but they want to withdraw from the cooperation immediately. The firm is one of six main sponsors of the ski jumping national team.
Norway acknowledged on Sunday that they had cheated with the manipulated suits that two ski jumpers were disqualified for on Saturday.
We have tried to deceive the system, said the Norwegian ski jumping chief Jan-Erik Aalbu at a press conference.
It's about a reinforced thread being sewn into the seam of the suit. The two Norwegians who were disqualified were Marius Lindvik, who took silver in the large hill, and Johann Forfang, who finished fifth.
"None of us would have jumped with suits that we knew were manipulated. Never", said the duo in a statement.
The International Ski Federation (Fis) will investigate all Norwegian medals in ski jumping and Nordic combined, six in total.
