Piteå's ladies have experienced the club's greatest successes under Stellan Carlsson's leadership. The obvious highlights are the SM gold in 2018 and the team's victory in the Swedish Cup earlier this year.

"He has, throughout the years, been a central part of our success and we will miss him, but at the same time, we respect his decision to take the next step in his career," says Piteå's chairman Jennie Kaarle to the club's website.

Carlsson, twice named Coach of the Year in Damallsvenskan, will remain as head coach for Piteå for the rest of the season. On December 1, he will then take the step over to IFK Norrköping, where the 54-year-old will replace current coach Tor-Arne Fredheim, who will step down after the season.

"I'm coming to one of the country's big football clubs. A strongly rooted association that has built up something very good on the women's side in a relatively short time," says Carlsson to IFK Norrköping's website.

Piteå announces that they will soon present a replacement.
