The tickets to Kent's three concerts in March next year were released at 12 o'clock. The tickets were sold out quickly. The first three concerts were sold out in just over an hour.
Later, three additional concert dates were released: March 26, 27, and 25. The first two concerts were sold out within a few hours, but the last concert on March 25 was not sold out until 9 pm on Saturday.
999 kronor
Just over a week ago, it was announced that the band Kent would give three performances at Tele2 Arena in Stockholm – which will be renamed 3Arena in January. The concerts will take place on March 21, 22, and 23, 2025. There were 38,000 tickets available for each concert. A ticket cost 999 kronor – possibly a reference to the song "999" – excluding a service fee.
Fans had to queue in a digital waiting room when the tickets were released. Just minutes after the ticket release, tickets were available for purchase on secondary ticketing sites, as Expressen reported. On some sites, the price tripled.
No Reunion
The band's last performance was on December 17, 2016, when their farewell tour ended. However, Kent does not want to call the upcoming concerts a reunion.
"We have received several offers over the years since our farewell, but above all, we have been asked countless times when we will play together again, many from new fans who never saw us when it happened. Last fall, we simply decided that the time was ripe," the band has previously stated.
On their website, they promise "hits and live favorites". This means that there will be no new songs released by the band before the concerts.
