The artist Josefine Östlund receives the Åke Andréns artist grant of 750,000 kronor.
"With cumbersome remnants and materials that human violence leaves in its surroundings, both in clear-cut areas and construction sites, Josefine Östlund creates attention-grabbing and innovative large-scale sculptures, performances, and video", the jury thinks.
The purpose of the grant is to reward a young promising artist. In addition to the grant amount, the winner also gets to exhibit their works at Prins Eugens Waldemarsudde.
