70-year-old will carry the torch in the afternoon, before the opening starts at 20:00 tonight.

During the Olympic Games, several big stars were involved in carrying the torch. The American rapper Snoop Dogg was particularly in the spotlight, and during the opening, the torch was carried by big athletes such as Zinedine Zidane, Roger Federer, Serena Williams, and many more.

Jackie Chan is a big name in France. The third film in the Rush Hour series was filmed in the country, and Chan had a fight scene on top of the Eiffel Tower.

The opening of the Paralympics differs from that of the European Championship in that it does not take place on the Seine River. Instead, the athletes will march through Paris – from the Arc de Triomphe to the Place de la Concorde.

This is the first time the Paralympics have been opened outside an arena.
