Israel's military announced earlier in the evening that the purpose of the attack – which was aimed at "a large number of targets" – was to prevent the Iran-backed Shia militia from using its economic resources.
The southern suburbs of Beirut were hit by four attacks, according to Lebanese state media, which confirm that the current company is among the targets. An evacuation order has been issued for parts of Beirut, according to Israel's military.
The company, al-Qard al-Hassan, is linked to Hezbollah and is subject to both American and Saudi Arabian sanctions, and is also used by ordinary Lebanese.
Israel has also launched an attack on the Bekaa Valley in eastern and Hermel in northern Lebanon, and according to Lebanese media, the Hezbollah-linked company has been hit.
UN Watchtower Destroyed
On Sunday, the UN peacekeeping forces also accused Israel of deliberately destroying a watchtower and a fence at its post in southern Lebanon using a bulldozer.
Three soldiers from the Lebanese military have also been killed in an Israeli attack.
The soldiers were killed on Sunday in an Israeli attack on a vehicle they were traveling in on a road in the southern parts of the country. Lebanon's military is not part of the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.
Since the conflict escalated in September, a total of eight Lebanese soldiers have been killed.
Revenge for Assassination Attempt
Israel carried out attacks on the densely populated Beirut suburb of al-Dahiya – the day after Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Hezbollah of trying to assassinate him by targeting his private residence with drones.
The Israeli attack hit a residential building in Haret Hreik in al-Dahiya, according to the state news agency NNA.
Israel's military claims to have attacked a command center belonging to Hezbollah's intelligence service and an underground weapons workshop, according to a statement.
The Israeli attacks on al-Dahiya, which is considered one of the Shia militia's strongholds, have escalated over time. However, the suburb is also home to a large number of civilians and people with no connection to the militant group.
Not only Beirut has been the target of Israeli attacks on Sunday. State-owned Lebanese media also claim that Israel bombed the town of Khiam in southern Lebanon 14 times in 15 minutes.
