Iran rejects "evil" allegations of wanting to kill the former US President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
The American security service Secret Service raised the security level around Trump after authorities received tips about Iranian murder plans from a source, according to CNN.
However, there is nothing to suggest that the Iranian plans had anything to do with Saturday's assassination attempt on Trump.
The information raises new questions about how security was handled during the campaign meeting in Butler, Pennsylvania, where a 20-year-old man opened fire on Trump, writes CNN.
