"The national police force is carrying out over 200 raids regarding cases of illegal border crossings", it says in a statement from the police.
Raids are reported to be ongoing on Friday in 19 different regions of the country.
In recent months, Ukraine has attempted to strengthen its military through a large-scale mobilization, nearly three years after Russia's large-scale invasion. The campaign has raised concerns among Ukrainian men and thousands have fled the country illegally.
Already last week, the police reported that they had searched around 600 homes, offices, and other locations as part of the investigation. Then it was said that the operation was primarily targeted at the smugglers who help draft dodgers cross the border illegally.
