Focus will be on many ways to combat the criminal economy and organized crime. It's about weapons, money, and drugs. In this work, I'm very pleased that Johan has accepted this job, says Finance Minister Elisabeth Svantesson (M) when she presents the new General Director of Customs.

Svantesson states that Norrman has received a clear "change mandate".

I cannot emphasize enough how important it is that we really take on the criminal gangs.

Former Customs Chief Charlotte Svensson had to leave her position in February. Norrman has been acting in the position since then. He was previously Deputy Director-General at the Customs Agency and is fundamentally a police officer.

He says that the Customs Agency has an important role in the fight against organized crime and the criminal economy.

We are facing major challenges, so it feels good to know that we are over 2,600 employees at the Customs Agency with high competence who want to make a difference, he says.
