The founder of the Folklistan party, Jan Emanuel, is welcome back to the Social Democrats.
It's good that this weird party no longer exists, says S group leader Lena Hallengren.
Jan Emanuel, opinion leader and welfare entrepreneur, regained his membership in S at the end of last week.
A month ago, he led the Folklistan party in the EU election, but when the voters had their say, it turned out that the party was far from entering the EU Parliament.
Jan Emanuel has said that he is joining the Social Democrats again to bring about change, to be "the internal opposition". And he is open to running for parliament in 2026.
Whoever wants to be a member of the Social Democrats, acting in a way that does not conflict with our statutes, is welcome as a member, says S group leader Lena Hallengren.
Jan Emanuel has also said that Folklistan as a larger movement is over, but former Sweden Democrat Johan Nissinen wants to take over.
Lena Hallengren thinks it was reasonable that Folklistan did not get much support in the election, the party got 0.6 percent.
It's good that this weird party no longer exists, that's my opinion. And if he wants to run or something, that's not a question for me, that's a question for the party he's in to take a stand on.
Jan Emanuel has also expressed a desire for the S and SD to govern together.
Individual members think different things, that's how it is. But at the bottom, you must feel that you are a social democrat if you want to be in the social democratic party, says Lena Hallengren.
