The crisis-stricken battery manufacturer Northvolt has a total of 279 payment orders against it with the Enforcement Authority, equivalent to 507 million kronor, writes DN.
In early September, there were over 30 cases worth almost 17 million kronor.
Of the current cases, 340 million kronor concern the subsidiary Northvolt Ett Expansion, which was declared bankrupt in early October. The rest are primarily directed against the parent company and the subsidiary behind the Skellefteå factory.
So far, the Enforcement Authority has not had to go as far as to seize assets.
Except for what concerns Northvolt Ett Expansion, which has been declared bankrupt, none of the debts have fallen due without being paid before we had to take any measures, says Sami Lundqvist, unit manager at the Enforcement Authority, to DN.
Northvolt is seeking multi-billion amounts for both short- and long-term financing.
Negotiations are underway with owners, lenders, and customers.
