It was a double Swedish victory in the women's knockout sprint at the World Championship.
Tove Alexandersson took an expected gold medal, and Karolin Ohlsson surprised herself to silver.
Now it's party time! says Ohlsson.
The silver medal is Karolin Ohlsson's first individual championship medal.
For me, this is gold. I'm so damn, damn, damn happy. You don't understand how happy I am. I'm crying inside, you don't understand how hard I've worked for this. I've dreamed about this, says Ohlsson in SVT after the silver.
Alexandersson fell about a minute into the final, but was able to quickly recover and catch up with the lead. It's the 31-year-old's second gold medal from the World Championship in Edinburgh, and her 21st World Championship gold in her career.
Passing the finish line first felt absolutely fantastic, but turning around and seeing "Karro" come in second is indescribable. It's something we've both dreamed about for an incredibly long time and I'm thrilled for her. Getting to share this with her is absolutely fantastic, says the gold medalist.
Will sew her hand
Alexandersson injured her hand during the quarterfinal, but gives reassuring news.
I cut my hand on a railing, so I'll sew it up a bit later. But you don't run with your hand, so when I've run, I haven't thought about it.
Hanna Lundberg was eliminated in the semifinal, after finishing third in the third semi. Alva Sonneson was eliminated in the quarterfinal.
In the men's final, Jonatan Gustafsson was the best Swedish athlete when he took bronze.
I had a good chance of taking gold, but I messed up in the end. A bronze medal and being on the podium is not entirely bad, but right now, I'm actually quite disappointed, says Gustafsson.
Sweden best at the World Championship
Martin Regborn finished fifth.
The gold was taken by the Swiss Riccardo Rancan. The Norwegian Jørgen Baklid took silver.
Emil Svensk did not qualify for the final, after going from first to seventh in the semifinal after a mistake.
I missed a step. I didn't manage to notice it when I was running, it's small margins that ruin it for me there. I get a bit stressed by those who are on my heels, said Svensk in SVT.
In total, there were six Swedish medals at the World Championship in Edinburgh, including three golds. Sweden thus became the top nation in the championship.
It's going to be a sick party tonight, says Jonatan Gustafsson.
