Medal candidates Isac von Krusenstierna and August Mollén both come from the sprint-VM in orienteering in Edinburgh on July 12-16. Mollén, who took a VM silver two years ago, does not get a spot in the Swedish team at all, while von Krusenstierna follows as a reserve.
Alexandersson's mistake – Sweden outside the podium
Even the world's best orienteers make mistakes sometimes. Tove Alexandersson took a wrong turn at a wall in the World Cup in Genoa and Sweden had to settle for fourth place in the sprint relay.
Regborn second in Genoa – leads the World Cup
Martin Regborn dominated the technical and challenging World Cup sprint almost perfectly. Only the Norwegian Kasper Harlem Fosser was faster.
