Rudy Giuliani can no longer work as a lawyer in New York.
New York's former mayor and Donald Trump's former lawyer was expelled from the state's bar association on Tuesday.
The decision was made after the 80-year-old Giuliani was convicted of repeatedly providing false information about the 2020 election, when Trump lost the presidential election.
In December, it was reported that Giuliani had gone bankrupt after being ordered to pay the equivalent of over 1.5 billion kronor to two election workers in the state of Georgia. According to the verdict, Giuliani defamed the election workers with his false claims that they had engaged in electoral fraud in the 2020 presidential election.
Giuliani had previously lost his license to work as a lawyer in New York, also due to the lies he spread after the 2020 election.
