Fredrik Reinfeldt has been bust in the Swedish Parliament in Stockholm. The 59-year-old was Prime Minister over two terms (2006-2014) and led the alliance government as the leader of The Moderate Party.
Reinfeldt, who has left party politics and is today, among other things, the chairman of the Swedish Football Association (SvFF), was present in the Parliament when Speaker Andreas Norlén (M) unveiled the bust, designed by the artist Peter Linde, on Tuesday afternoon.
The Parliament traditionally portrays former Prime Ministers with memorials. Those who have been Prime Minister for a total of at least four years are immortalized with a relief or medallion. Those who have been Prime Minister for a total of at least eight years, as in Reinfeldt's case, are awarded a smaller portrait bust.
