A man in his 40s has been arrested, suspected of having photographed various protected objects around Sweden, reports Sveriges Radio Ekot. The man is a foreign citizen.
The suspected man was arrested by Örebro District Court after being apprehended in Karlskoga over the weekend. He is suspected on probable grounds of having photographed protected objects at various locations around the country.
Towards the end of May, the man is said to have taken pictures of a protected object in Stockholm. He is also said to have taken pictures of a protected object in Sundsvall on Midsummer's Eve.
When he was arrested during the night leading up to Sunday, he was carrying a knife and was in the vicinity of the arms manufacturer Saab's area, according to the radio.
The man denies any wrongdoing but admits to having taken pictures. Karin Lutz at the Security Police confirms to the radio that they are aware of the case, but that it is being investigated at a local level.
