The donation takes place ahead of the election to the Stortinget in September this year.

Hagen tells VG that the country's current prime minister and finance minister can "go where the pepper grows".

We want to contribute to the country getting a bourgeois government that can set out a different direction for our country. A government that works to strengthen the business sector, value creation, and private Norwegian ownership, he says to the newspaper.

The Progress Party, which is the largest opposition party, receives seven million kronor. The Conservative Party receives five million and the Christian Democratic Party and the Liberal Party one million each.
