Deutsche Bank Reports Strong Q2 Profit Exceeding Expectations

German Deutsche Bank reports a net profit of 1.5 billion euro for the second quarter of the year. It was better than expected.

During the first quarter last year, Deutsche Bank made a loss of 143 million euro and analysts had on average counted on a turnaround to profit, but only to 1.3 billion euro.

Net revenues increased 2.8 percent on an annual basis to 7.8 billion euro. Expectations were at 7.7 billion.
