The Tokyo stock exchange continues to climb upwards for the second day in a row after Wednesday night's announcement that Japan and the US have agreed on a customs agreement.
The Nikkei 225 index had risen by 2.0 percent at lunchtime. The broader Topix index reached a record level during the first part of the trading day and increased by 1.9.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng index is also going upwards, and had risen by 0.4 percent after some hours of trading.
Shenzhen's composite index ticked upwards by 0.5 percent, while the total in Shanghai climbed 0.3.
