The investigation was initiated in April this year after a whistleblower sounded the alarm. It has, among other things, shown that the 87-year-old Klaus Schwab wrote daring and potentially inappropriate messages to an employee, according to the newspaper.

The newspaper has spoken with sources, but also confirmed information in documents.

Klaus Schwab is, according to the investigation, together with his wife, supposed to have spent the forum's money on what appears to be private purposes – including travel expenses of 1.1 million dollars where most of it concerned expenses for first-class tickets for his wife.

There are also supposed to be travel expenses from Schwab himself of 63,000 dollars for trips to Venice, Miami, and the Seychelles, which seem to lack connection to the World Economic Forum.

Schwab has, through a spokesperson, categorically rejected the allegations. He claims that he, during his 55 years as the face of the Davos meeting, has always treated women with respect and that he and his wife have never wanted to enrich themselves financially through their work for the forum.

The World Economic Forum is best known for the annual so-called Davos meeting in the Swiss Alps, which attracts the global political and economic elite.
