Beijing confirms that He Lifeng, Vice Premier, will participate in trade talks with the US in Stockholm next week.
"He Lifeng will travel to Sweden from July 27 to 30 to hold economic and trade talks with the US", says a spokesperson for China's Ministry of Commerce in a statement.
The meeting in Stockholm was announced by the US Finance Minister Scott Bessent in an interview on the TV channel Fox Business on Tuesday.
The talks between the world's two largest economies may include the issue of China buying oil from Russia and Iran.
