The explosion occurred in or near a multi-family house and the door has been damaged.

It was an enormous bang. My windows shook, says a resident in the area to Aftonbladet.

A large number of people called the police to report that they had heard bangs. There is no information about anyone being injured.

The case is being handled as general vandalism. No one has been arrested.

We have checked a number of people. Then it remains to be seen how we proceed with them, says Daniel Wikdahl.

The address has previously been subjected to several incidents, reports Aftonbladet. In December 2022, a balcony was shot at and hours later shots were fired through a residential door in the adjacent door.

We have the previous incident at the address in our investigation. It is part of the assessment work that is ongoing, says police spokesperson Daniel Wikdahl to the newspaper.

In connection with the explosion, the green line of the subway was stopped from stopping at the Gubbängen and Tallkrogen stations, following a decision by the police. By 10 pm, traffic was back in operation according to SL's website.
