Employees at the crisis-stricken battery manufacturer Northvolt in Skellefteå will receive their salaries in September.

"Employees will receive their salaries," confirms press chief Matti Kataja in an email to Folkbladet.

Otherwise, the company cannot say more at present about the ongoing financing round, he adds.

The battery company is reportedly working on a new share issue of around 7.5 billion kronor, according to Dagens industri.

The economic situation for crisis-stricken Northvolt is said to be acute, and a total stop is being implemented for all expenses, as reported by Norran. The employees have therefore been worried about whether they will even receive their salaries at the end of the month.
