The three drafts were found in a collection that belonged to the American rock journalist Al Aronowitz, with Dylan's handwritten comments in the margin.
The "Mr Tambourine Man" draft was written by Dylan one evening in 1965, at home in Aronowitz's kitchen in New Jersey, while he chain-smoked and listened to Marvin Gaye to get in the mood, according to the auction house.
The song is one of Dylan's most popular, it was with this and "Blowin' in the Wind" and "The Times They Are a-Changing" that he broke through in the 1960s.
In total, around 50 memorabilia from Dylan's life were auctioned off, including an oil painting signed by him and dated August 1, 1968. Several of his sketches also brought in more than expected, one of them was sold for almost one million kronor.
Altogether, his items were sold for 16.7 million kronor, writes BBC.
