Around 12.3 billion kronor. That's how much Swedes donated to various non-profit organizations last year, about the same as the year before. An increase is predicted for 2026.

Six out of ten organizations that receive money from the public and companies predict that giving will increase, according to a survey among 47 major organizations conducted by Giva Sverige.

Above all, a more generous public is behind the forecast increase, while less money came in from bequests.

Two out of three organizations predict increased giving by 2026. One in seven believes that gift income will decrease during the year.

Among the members of Giva Sverige are the Swedish Cancer Society, Save the Children and Doctors Without Borders, among the best known.
