The doctor was responsible for anesthetizing the woman, but did not perform the work in a manner consistent with science and proven experience, reports P4 Malmöhus. The doctor denies the crime.

During the operation two years ago, the patient suffered from oxygen deficiency and cardiac arrest. Two days later, she died.

The prosecutor believes that the doctor was grossly negligent and guilty of conscious risk-taking of a serious nature. It concerns both the choice of medication and incorrect dosing. The monitoring of the patient has also failed, she was not connected to any monitoring equipment.

The doctor has been reported to the authorities by the Health and Social Care Inspectorate.
