The EU Commission has carried out a dawn raid against the owner of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, Deutsche Börse AG. The raid was made to search for evidence due to suspicions of cartel formation in derivative trading.
A spokesperson for Deutsche Börse confirms the dawn raid, which is said to have taken place as early as Monday, and adds that the stock exchange operator is fully cooperating with the authorities' investigators.
According to the EU Commission, the raid was coordinated with raids in another EU country, unclear which one.
