It's going really slow for the German industry. August statistics regarding the country's industrial order figures show a weak development. The decline is written off at 5.8 percent on a monthly basis, significantly worse than the analysts' expectations, which were at a decline of 2.0 percent.
Especially the important automotive industry has shown clear signs of weakness lately, with a number of profit warnings from several of the German car giants.
