Hamid Zafar, who was named "Swede of the Year" in 2018 and was a summer speaker the following year, has been praised for his efforts as a principal in Gothenburg.
However, after DN revealed in 2020 that he had expressed hateful opinions about, among others, Jews through anonymous online accounts, he was forced to leave all his assignments.
Zafar, who previously was also the head of child and education in Mullsjö municipality and had assignments for The Moderate Party, has now gotten a job as a principal at Nordic International School in Trollhättan.
He says in a press release that he is grateful for the trust "despite the opinions I expressed on social media almost ten years ago, which I have since strongly distanced myself from".
