The Land and Environment Court at Umeå District Court rejects the state-owned energy company Vattenfall's application to rebuild Juktan's power station. Do it again and do it right, is the message from the court.

"The application lacks necessary information in many central areas and is, according to the court's assessment, too unclear to serve as a basis for a review", the court writes in a press release.

Vattenfall submitted its application to reopen Juktans power station almost a year ago.

"As soon as Vattenfall has revised the application and can more clearly explain how the project is intended to be implemented and how it relates to other activities and permits, they can resubmit the application", writes Judge Carin Wiklund at the Land and Environment Court in a comment.
