Nemo from Switzerland was crowned the winner when the Eurovision music competition was held in Malmö in May this year.
It is now clear that the 69th edition of the competition will be held at the St. Jakobshalle arena in Basel next year, according to a press release on the Eurovision Song Contest's official website.
The semi-finals will be held on 13 and 15 May, and the final on 17 May 2025.
"Basel's strategic location in the middle of Europe makes it a perfect place to celebrate the strength that music has to unite people across borders", says Swedish Eurovision chief Martin Österdahl in the press release.
Switzerland's win in Malmö was the country's first since 1988 when Celine Dion took home the win on behalf of the country, despite being a Canadian citizen. In total, they have won three times.
