The prosecution for incitement to racial hatred against Salwan Momika is being dropped since he was shot to death in Södertälje on Wednesday evening, announces the Prosecution Authority.
The verdict was to be announced on Thursday, but was postponed after the court was informed that Momika had died.
Salwan Momika was charged with incitement to racial hatred after four notable Quran burnings in Stockholm during the summer of 2023.
The verdict against the co-defendant, Salwan Najem, is planned to be announced on Monday, according to the Stockholm District Court.
