Britney Spears' memoirs "The Woman in Me" will be filmed, reports Variety.
The film rights were won by Universal Pictures. Jon M. Chu will be the director and Marc Platt the producer, both known for their work on the film "Wicked".
"I'm glad to share with my fans that I've been working on a secret project with Marc Platt. He's always made my favorite films, keep your eyes open", writes Spears in a post on the platform X.
In her autobiography, the pop star describes her life from the start of her career on "Mickey Mouse Club". Many events in the book have received great attention, including those about her former boyfriend Justin Timberlake and her father's guardianship. In total, it has sold over 2.5 million copies in the USA.
