Barcelona's women's team has appointed a new trainer. It is the mere 30-year-old Pere Romeu who takes over the club after Jonatan Giráldez.
Romeu has worked within Barcelona's organisation for many years.
First as a trainer for various boys' teams in the academy, and then as part of Giráldez's staff in the women's team since 2021. Romeu has also managed to act as assistant trainer in Romanian Viitorul Constanta despite his young age.
The 32-year-old Jonatan Giráldez left Barcelona to take over American Washington Spirit after the season. A season that included a total of four titles, including the league and Champions League.
In Barcelona, the Swedish star Fridolina Rolfö can be found, who has belonged to the club since 2021.
