Bankruptcies decreased by 1 percent in November compared to the same month last year, according to statistics from the credit information company UC.
This means that bankruptcies have decreased for two months in a row, something that according to UC has not happened since August 2022.
"Corporate bankruptcies in Sweden have been at an uneven level throughout the year, but we are now seeing positive signs of stabilization," says Vlasta Valan at the company in a press release and continues:
"This gives us reason to be cautiously optimistic about the future."
In retail, bankruptcies decreased by 38 percent. According to UC, this is a sign that consumer behavior is starting to return to "more normal levels". Within the construction industry, bankruptcies decreased by 11 percent.
In the hotel and restaurant industry, on the other hand, bankruptcies increased by 21 percent.
