The rapper and producer Pras Michel is suing Fugees colleague Lauryn Hill for the band's cancelled reunion tour.

Hill is accused of fraud and breach of contract. In the indictment, she is criticized for being "chronically" late to performances, for mismanaging the band's economy, and for trying to take control of its brand.

In turn, Lauryn Hill dismisses the accusations as "groundless". She claims that she has lent large sums of money to her colleague, which he has not repaid.

Michel was convicted last year for laundering money related to a multi-billion kronor fraud in Malaysia.

The hip-hop group Fugees, which also includes Wyclef Jean, broke through in the mid-1990s. In August, a planned reunion tour was cancelled, something that has happened several times before.

In October, if plans hold, Lauryn Hill will embark on a European tour with "Ms Lauryn Hill & the Fugees" and on October 26, they will come to Stockholm – but without Pras Michel.
