At least 70 people have died in a tanker truck accident in northern Nigeria, according to Nigerian authorities.
The accident occurred on Saturday morning when a tanker truck carrying 60,000 liters of gasoline overturned and subsequently exploded.
The dead are said to have approached the tanker truck to collect the gasoline that was leaking out after it overturned.
The gasoline price in Nigeria has increased drastically over the past 18 months, which has led to many risking their lives to collect gasoline in connection with tanker truck accidents.
