It is an investigation into murder and it was committed with a firearm, says the police's press spokesperson Johnny Gustavsson.
The hunt is on for suspected perpetrators and witnesses have been questioned.
The police have worked with multiple resources on site during the day, including drones and dog patrols. A forensic investigation has been conducted on site.
Earlier, the police also stated that they were present at the hospital to ensure that staff could work undisturbed.
