Apple will allow users of iPhone mobiles and iPads in the EU to uninstall App Store and the search engine Safari, announces the tech giant. The reason is the EU's new digital laws.
Apple has so far stubbornly defended App Store as the only possibility to get digital content to its mobile devices.
The EU has, among other things, claimed that the fees that Apple charges other developers "go beyond what is strictly necessary". Apple promised last month to make changes to comply with the EU's Digital Markets Act, DMA.
