Prior to the turn of the year, the children's clothing brand Polarn O. Pyret will be discontinuing its operations in the USA – the reason is the high customs costs, writes Wall Street Journal.
The company states that it is struggling with unsustainable costs, a consequence of the new customs duties on goods manufactured in China.
The customs duties in combination with a weakened dollar have meant that the company has not imported new goods since April – and will not be restocking further.
