Hundreds of thousands of jobs within the euro area are at risk of being lost if the US tariff policy causes China to invest more in the European market, writes the European Central Bank, ECB.
According to the analysis, China's competitiveness has a direct impact on the labor market within the euro area.
"Even if the effects are currently concentrated in sectors such as vehicles and chemicals, the broader consequences may include almost a third of employment in the euro area", they write in the analysis that Bloomberg has taken part of.
