In collaboration with the police, we have assessed that the driver is no longer on the airport's premises, says the airport's press officer Julie Boll.
A man who was being pursued by the police crashed a car, stolen in Sweden, into a fence at a restaurant near the airport. He then fled on foot onto the airfield itself.
The airspace was closed between 4 am and shortly after 6 am.
Some cargo planes were diverted as a result of the closure of the airspace, but passengers were advised to arrive at their flights as usual during the morning.
The car chase ended at around 3:30 am, according to the police.
They wanted to stop him, and he didn't want that. It was a Swedish car, and we have since found out that it was stolen, says Michael Andersen, duty officer at the Copenhagen police.
