We have gradually got some systems up and running during the day, and our absolute goal is that everything will be working tomorrow, says the Employment Service's press chief Hans G Larsson to TT on Sunday.

Hans G Larsson believes that there may be some consequences on Monday.

Since we were unable to work on Friday, many cases have been left pending. They must now be dealt with. We would have liked to do it during Sunday, but it didn't happen.

Hans G Larsson does not know whether the technical problems will lead to delayed payments at present.

The goal is that they will not be affected or that the impact will be as minimal as possible.

The problems are said to have been caused by the Employment Service's own technology. All systems were affected, which meant that job seekers were unable to contact the authority, register or deregister, or report that they had applied for a job.

There will be information on the website about how to proceed if you have been affected, says Hans G Larsson.

By 15:30 on Sunday, the website is up and running again.
