Nearly a quarter of a million people have been evacuated from rainstorms in eastern China. The water masses have caused several rivers to overflow, including China's longest river Yangtze, and according to the state news agency New China (Xinhua), up to a million people have been affected by the water.
According to Xinhua, which refers to regional authorities, Yangtze's water levels have exceeded warning levels and are expected to continue rising.
Authorities in the affected area are warning of a "geological disaster" as more rain is expected to fall.
