The girls are between 9-14 years old, according to a press release from the Prosecution Authority. The majority of the crimes are said to have been committed in the summer of 2024, when the man was 17 years old.

The girls were located in different parts of the country when they were subjected to the criminal activity, which was committed via Snapchat according to the indictment. The accused man is a resident of Skellefteå municipality.

The suspicions include, among other things, sexual assault against children, attempted rape of children, sexual harassment of children, gross exploitation of children for sexual posing, and child pornography offenses.

The crimes were discovered when a guardian of one of the girls saw a conversation on the daughter's phone, according to prosecutor Amanda Tapani.

"The now accused could be traced and arrested, and in his phones, information was found that led to the discovery of more crimes. In addition to the content of the accused's phones, the evidence also consists of the girls' statements", says Tapani in a comment.
