15 people were taken to the hospital during the Stockholm Marathon on Saturday. The record-breaking runners struggled with high temperatures, water stations that malfunctioned, and the 42-kilometer long course.
Some of the runners were severely affected but all were reportedly in stable condition when taken care of by the medical staff.
More participants than ever showed up at the starting line during this year's edition. It also became a record for the number of people who crossed the finish line.
Some of the race's water stations couldn't handle the pressure and the water temporarily ran out.
