14 children have died after a lightning strike in Uganda, reports BBC. Over 30 people were injured.
The accident occurred when the victims participated in a church service on Saturday evening and the lightning struck.
The incident took place at the Palabek refugee camp in the northwestern part of the country. The area has recently been hit by heavy rainfall with thunder and lightning.
The refugee camp is home to more than 80,000 refugees and asylum seekers, according to the UN refugee agency. Many come from the neighboring country South Sudan.
