The girl is too young to be held in custody, but according to the National Board of Institutions, there were no available places when social services tried to get her into a Sis-home, reports HD/Sydsvenskan. The waiting time for acute placements is five-six weeks.
It wasn't until the police intervened that the girl was given an acute placement.
It shouldn't have to be this way, we should be able to get a place when we ask for it, says the head of social services in the girl's home municipality to the newspaper.
In its investigation, the home municipality writes that such responses can entail "serious risks to young people's lives and health”.
Already a week before the murder, social secretaries had unsuccessfully tried to get her into a Sis-home. Since it was also impossible to find a place at any hvb-home, the girl had to move back to her mother, even though she no longer had custody of her daughter.
